Edible Arrangements® Goes Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

This October marks the seventh year we’ve partnered with the National Breast Cancer Foundation and the Breast Cancer Society of Canada to help stomp out breast cancer. These charitable giving programs support research and help save lives by increasing awareness of breast cancer through education, and by providing funding for free mammograms for women in need.

During the entire month of October, we donate 10% of the purchase price from the items in our Breast Cancer Awareness Collection to the National Breast Cancer Foundation in the U.S., and the Breast Cancer Society of Canada in Canada. This very special product collection features fruit bouquets and dipped fruit boxes with pink chocolate, like the Awareness Celebration® arrangement, Breast Cancer Awareness Bouquet®, Heels for Healing Bouquet™ and box of one dozen Pink Chocolate Dipped Strawberries. Through this collection and our partnership, we were able to donate over $28,000 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation and the Breast Cancer Society of Canada last year.

As part of our continued commitment to Breast Cancer Awareness, on Sunday, October 14th, 2012, employees from the Edible Arrangements® corporate office also participated in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk of New Haven, CT. We exceeded our fundraising goal for event, and enjoyed brisk walk on a beautiful fall day in support of a great cause!

    Hello everyone,
I was looking through all of the beautiful arrangements your company offers for so many different occasions.
i was just discharged from Lutheran General Hospital after having a bilateral mastectomy after being diagnosed on october 1st with stage 2 ductal carsenoma..
I am now cancer free thanks to my wonderful team of doctors. I just am so thankful, i have no words to extend my thanks to these amazing people. I was hoping i could order a wonderful arrangement for all the nurses who took care of me, when i couldnt take care of myself.
    My idea was maybe you

could add a special “thank you” breast cancer arrangement big enough to send to the 10 or so nurses who helplessly took care of me. something with the pink breast cancer ribbon on the base of the fruit arrangement.
i absolutely love your arrangements, like so many others i know. i feel if you made different arrangements to send to the many doctors a women must include in her care, we could all have a splash of sunshine we all need at this very trying time in our lives.
(sorry for the run-on)…thanks for taking the time to read this. May God bless and keep you all happy and healthy.
Thank you very much, Kim Schroeder – Chicago, Illinois
