5 Questions With Sarah Dinan, Construction Services Manager

Our “5 Questions With” blog segment gives you the inside scoop on the inner workings of Edible Arrangements® by bringing you an exclusive look at the work lives of some EA corporate employees. This time, we talked with Construction Services Manager, Sarah Dinan, to learn about her part in our explosive franchise growth! (We’re consistently on pace to open more than one store per week, so as you can imagine, Sarah’s always pretty busy!)

 1.       What are you working on right now (if you can tell us)?

One major project I’m working on right now is streamlining both the new store and store relocation processes. The store opening process has evolved so much over the years, and I’m constantly looking for ways we can help simplify things to make it as smooth as possible. My goal is to answer the questions franchise partners may have before  they are even asked!

 2.       What is the absolute best part of your job?

With any type of construction, you’ll inevitably hit some roadblocks, so it’s always so nice to hear [from franchise partners] that despite any hurdles they might have encountered, they enjoyed working with me and, even more importantly, look forward to opening an additional store. It’s always worth it when you’re able to have franchise partners take a step back and realize all the newfound opportunities they have now that their store is operating, and it’s especially rewarding for me when I hear that I was able to be a positive part of that!

3.       What’s your favorite kind of chocolate dipped fruit? Toppings?

I keep it simple with the Chocolate Dipped Apple Wedges. But I wouldn’t turn down a chocolate dipped strawberry with heart sprinkles—they’re so pretty!

4.       Tell us something you’ve learned while working at Edible Arrangements®?

One thing I’ve learned while working for EA is the importance of communication. Every decision that you make almost always effects multiple departments, so it’s important to be proactive about these choices to ensure that everyone is on the same page. We may all work in separate departments, but we are all a part of the same team, and have to communicate with one voice to our franchise partners.

 5.       What’s the best part about working for Edible Arrangements®?

The best part about working for Edible Arrangements® (aside from the fresh fruit and smoothies!) is feeling valued. There has never been a time where I felt that my ideas weren’t welcomed or appreciated. It’s a great feeling to know that the entire team is behind you and wants you to succeed.
