5 Questions With Amy Wietmarschen, Project Manager

Last Updated on

Our “5 Questions With” blog segment gives you the inside scoop on the inner workings of Edible Arrangements® by bringing you an exclusive look at the work lives of some EA corporate employees. This week, we talked to Project Manager, Amy Wietmarschen, to learn a little more about her experience working here at our headquarters.

1.       What are you working on right now (if you can tell us)?

I’m putting the finishing touches our on 4th Annual Fruit Summit! During our Fruit Summits, we bring approximately 40 franchise partners to our headquarters in Wallingford, CT and have open discussions about anything and everything about our business: Marketing, Operations, holiday planning, the future of the company and more. After months of planning, it’s always great to see the event come together, and for us to have a few days filled with high energy conversations and meetings. So far, each Summit has produced some really amazing insights that have helped us keep our business moving forward!

2.       What is the absolute best part of your job?

The people.  After almost 5 years of working for Edible Arrangements®, I have had the opportunity to work with some of the most talented, inspiring and driven individuals in the industry. We are a different breed of people that know what needs to be done in order to get the job done. We work together to ensure that happens!

3.       What’s your favorite kind of chocolate dipped fruit?

Chocolate covered pineapple, hands down.

4.       Tell us something you’ve learned while working for Edible Arrangements®?

That hard work pays off! If you stay focused on the task at hand and put your heart and soul into your job, it will  eventually pay off. The new Toyota Prius C I’m lucky enough to be driving  [awarded to Amy by the company last winter]  is CLEAR proof of that!

5.       For someone who does not work for Edible Arrangements® who is sort of outside looking in, what would you say might come as a surprise about working here?

That I don’t sit around and play with fruit all day (as glorious as that sounds)!  There might actually be times where I don’t see a chocolate covered apple wedge for days.
