This Mother’s Day, we partnered with The Children’s Place to create a fun Q&A video with some Edible® families. The combination of fun Mommy and Me Tees, games, fruit and chocolate resulted in some adorable clips!
CHECK OUT SOME SILLY OUTTAKES FROM OUR VIDEO SHOOT
Between shooting, we chatted with the moms on set about Mother’s Day, and how their families tend to celebrate the holiday. And it comes as no surprise that our conversation included a lot of talk about chocolate!
IF YOU COULD HAVE ANY GIFT FROM OUR MOTHER’S DAY COLLECTION, WHICH ONE WOULD YOU CHOOSE?
TREENY: The product that I would most love to receive is the Mother’s Day Swizzle Bouquet™. That’s because it has chocolate covered strawberries on it. It also has the Belgian Mother’s Day pop, which is just fabulous.
JESSICA: The Brighten Mom’s Day Arrangement because it’s the biggest and the prettiest one.
MELISSA: I would be most excited for the Mom’s Favorite with the 12 strawberries. I like the touch of swizzle on top of the dipped chocolate and that they’re easy to share with other people. Even though it’s Mother’s Day, and I would eat most of them—I do see myself sharing them with my family.
KRISTIN: The Sweet Like Mom Daisy Bouquet™. The chocolate pop on top is so delicious!
KAITLIN: Definitely the Perfect for Mom Bouquet™ because it has both chocolate covered strawberries and fresh strawberries—and juicy pineapple which I love! The gourmet Belgian pops are also great—the chocolate is just amazing. I wouldn’t complain if the gift came with a couple balloons to entertain my 19-month-old son. So, I could indulge while he is playing with those!
WHO ARE YOU EXPECTING TO RECEIVE YOUR MOTHER’S DAY GIFT FROM?
TREENY: I usually get something from my hubby. But my kids are now four and six. So, I do expect them to give me something. It’s probably going to be a card.
JESSICA: My daughter Makayla of course!
MELISSA: From my son, but it would be in combination with my husband. So, it would be a joint effort.
KRISTIN: Hopefully, my husband will help my children. My two-year-old and four-year-old, who can’t shop for themselves just yet.
KAITLIN: I expect that my kids (ages 5 and 19 months) will make me something. They love crafting, painting, coloring. Last year my 5-year-old made me a flower pot that we used to plant vegetables in—she decorated it with her hand prints.
WHAT ARE YOU PLANNING TO DO ON MOTHER’S DAY? DOES YOUR FAMILY HAVE ANY TRADITIONS?
TREENY: I’ll probably be at work. But our tradition—whatever it is we do—we always do first thing in the morning with the kids. So, it’ll generally be right after I wake up. The kids will bring their cards and their gifts.
JESSICA: No plans yet. We’ll see wherever Makayla wants to go. Our tradition is to do whatever it is she decides she to do.
KRISTIN: Every year we start with breakfast in bed. That’s probably our only solid tradition. But the family always gets together. We actually live next door to my parents so we see everybody at some point during the day which is always special.
MELISSA: So, for Mother’s Day we typically go out to dinner the night before. Because Mother’s Day tends to be very busy at the restaurants. And if it’s a nice day, we’ll usually do something outside. Either hiking or visiting a farm—just spending some time enjoying nature.
KAITLIN: Seeing as Mother’s Day is our number one holiday at Edible®, I’ve spent the past 13 Mother’s Days at work! But my ideal celebration would be to spend the day with my family including my kids, husband, mom and my in-laws. They say time is your most precious gift because you only have a set amount of it, and that is so true!
We were thrilled to spend the day with these amazing moms and their kids and had a lot of fun swapping Mother’s Day stories. Whether you’ll be working this Sunday or have the opportunity to be pampered, from our Edible® family to yours, Happy Mother’s Day!
