Random Acts of Happiness can translate into random acts of business opportunities! We launched our current promotion, “Random Acts of Happiness” to encourage people to think about bringing joy to others . . . not just because we are in the happiness business, but because spreading happiness is contagious.
Here’s how it works: We set up a special website, actsofhappiness.com and invited anyone to post a story or picture of how they brought happiness to another person. These don’t have to be huge charitable donations or people making major sacrifices, just little day brighteners to make someone feel appreciated, valued or just noticed in a hectic world. To make it more interesting, we are asking folks to vote for their favorite random acts of happiness. The individual with the most votes will win $10,000 and the winning organization will receive $20,000. And we have pledged to donate $1 per vote up to $20,000 to Big Brothers Big Sisters to help them continue making a difference in children’s lives through mentoring programs. We’re sending special coupons to everyone who posts or votes, building our list of loyal fans so we can market to them throughout the year. Everybody wins!
