A low-calorie fruit that’s high in vitamins A and C, watermelon consists of about 90% water, making it the ultimate refreshing fruit on a hot summer day. Watermelon smoothies are an excellent choice when you’re looking for a delicious, refreshing summertime smoothie that will help keep you hydrated.
Watermelon makes an excellent smoothie when blended with other fruit favorites like juicy strawberries, bananas, peaches, mangos, and more. Because watermelon is so low in calories (about 46 calories per cup), watermelon smoothies are also a great choice if you’re looking for a low-calorie treat as a meal replacement or to help you reach your weight loss goals. Add some Greek yogurt or a scoop of protein powder to give your refreshing watermelon smoothie an added boost of protein.

- 1 cup strawberries
- 1 banana (optional)
- 1 Tbsp maple syrup

“Here’s my favorite watermelon smoothie recipe:
- 125g Greek yogurt
- 300ml milk
- 200g strawberries (fresh or frozen)
- 1 whole watermelon (diced)
These ingredients will create two fabulous smoothies – maybe to share, or maybe a one for now and one for later situation. It should take you less than 5 minutes of preparation time and very few dishes to wash.
Wash all the fruit and dice the watermelon. Then place all the fruit into a blender with the yogurt and milk. Blend until it has a smooth consistency. Then, divide the smoothie into two separate containers and enjoy: it’s as simple as that! The extra smoothie will stay fresh for 24 hours if kept in a cooler or refrigerator.”

“I’m a simple, straightforward individual and my recipe only involves two ingredients: two cups of fresh watermelon and half a lime. Blend these two together and you’ve got an easy but delectable smoothie.
I don’t use ice to avoid diluting the flavors by watering it down. Instead, I serve it cold, fresh out of the fridge.”

“Watermelons are one of the most refreshing fruits there is. However, when turning into a smoothie, you have to be very careful about how you do it
because it’s high in water content. You want your watermelon smoothie to not taste like water, so I am sharing with you my favorite watermelon smoothie recipe that ensures that the watermelon’s sweetness and flavor are still there.
The ingredients you will need are:
- 3-4 cups seedless watermelon chunks, frozen
- 1 cup milk
- ½ cup vanilla yogurt
- 3 Tbsp honey
- Optional: 1 Tbsp lemon or lime juice
- Garnish: 2 sprigs mint
- Garnish: 2 or more small wedges of watermelon
The first step is to gather all the ingredients, including the optional ones (if you want them), wherever you will be working. It helps to have a good place in your kitchen to do different kinds of meals and drinks in. You can see the different kitchen furniture that is nice to have here.
Next, if you haven’t already, cut the watermelon into chunks. Make sure that they are small chunks so that they blend easier into a smoothie. Remove all the seeds in the watermelon, if any. After that, place the watermelon chunks (leave space in between them) on a waxed paper on a cookie sheet. Cover it with plastic and freeze for an hour.
After you have frozen the watermelon chunks, you can now put it in a blender. Put in the yogurt, milk, and honey, as well. If you are using lemon or lime, add it in, too. It will help make the watermelon sweeter. Blend all of the ingredients until smooth.
Serve the smoothies and garnish it with watermelon wedges and mint, if you prefer.
This smoothie recipe is very simple to do. The steps and ingredients in this recipe also make sure that the watermelon will keep its flavor instead of tasting more water-like when blended.”

“Making cold matcha ice fruit smoothies are a great way to boost your energy and enjoy a refreshing beverage on a hot day. Matcha green tea powder actually pairs well with any sweet fruits, so you have a lot of options when it comes to making matcha fruit smoothies.
Matcha is a superfood and you will be pleased to know it is jam-packed with nutritional benefits. There are many reasons why this versatile green powder is being mixed in all kinds of recipes up and down the country.
With this blended drink recipe, you’ll make a quick and easy watermelon matcha ice smoothie. Using watermelon makes it simple to create the desired layer effect. Because watermelon is naturally sweet, it will sit at the bottom of the glass, without the need for adding sugars or other artificial sweeteners.
- Put 2 cups of diced watermelon into a blender and mix.
- Take 1/2 cup of cold water, mix in 1 teaspoon culinary matcha powder and whisk until mixed.
- Pour the blended watermelon in a tall glass over ice, secondly pour in the matcha tea mix.
- To garnish, pour the remaining watermelon foam on top to give texture and add in some watermelon chunks.”

They’re a nutritional powerhouse and are perfect for both workout- and non-workout days. My personal favorite is a triple watermelon banana berry smoothie. The recipe is as follows:
- 1 cup watermelon
- 1 banana
- ½ cup of your choice of berries
- 1 cup milk, soy milk, or almond milk
I love this recipe because it’s so simple. Plus, the fruits make the smoothie naturally sweet. It’s also extremely rich in vitamins and antioxidants that help your body recover after exercise. I recommend using frozen fruit or keeping fresh fruit in the freezer the night before for an icy treat!”

“Here are the ingredients for my favorite watermelon smoothie recipe:
- 1 cup sliced watermelon
- 1 banana
- Freshly squeezed lime juice from 1 lime

The best part about this recipe is that you don’t have to add any ice, which can water down the taste. I recommend chilling your watermelon in the fridge overnight before blending all the ingredients in a blender.”
Jay Wang is the CEO of Beauty & Shopping Expert at AmazingBeauty Hair.
“My favorite watermelon smoothie recipe is simple! All you need to do is throw all the ingredients together in the blender, and you have yourself a delectable thirst-quencher.
- 1 cup watermelon with the seeds removed
- 1 ripe banana
- 2 Tbsp chia
- 1 Tbsp honey
- ½ cup almond milk
- 2-3 mint leaves for mentholated tang
I love this recipe because it satisfies the cravings of someone with a sweet tooth. The best part is all sweeteners in this recipe are all-natural and found within nature’s bounty. However, the best ingredient that elevates this drink is the mint leaves, which gives the smoothie a refreshing taste.”

“Today, the recipe I’ll share is worthy of being called the king of all tropical smoothies. It has three tropical fruits in its ingredient list: watermelon, coconut, and pineapple.
My favorite watermelon smoothie is perfect for a trip at the beach or if someone misses the feeling of the sand and sea breeze but can’t go out to the shore.
Here are the ingredients:
- 1 cup watermelon (seeds removed)
- ¼ cup pineapple
- ¼ coconut water
- ¼ cup yogurt (preferably Greek yogurt)
- 1 Tbsp honey
Put all the ingredients in your blender and hit the button. I prefer to do it for 60 seconds to ensure a smooth and lump-free consistency.”

“Due to high water concentration, watermelons are a bit difficult to handle while making smoothies.
Ingredients include 3 cups frozen seedless watermelon, half cup yogurt, 1 cup milk, 2 spoon maple syrup and garnished mint and watermelon wedges. Cut the watermelons into small chunks and place them into the blender, it can be the regular one. Top it with milk, yogurt, then maple syrup and blend everything until it is smooth and even. Lastly, serve the smoothies immediately without any delay. Don’t forget to use a chilled glass and garnish it with a wedge of watermelon and fresh mint.”
