  • 1 cup frozen or fresh pineapple chunks

“Pineapple provides tang, sweetness, and a bright flavor that combines perfectly with almost any fruit. That being said, some recipes truly let this fruit shine.

“For an easy, refreshing and timeless smoothie try this:

  • 20 frozen or fresh strawberries (hulled and chopped)
  • 8 ounces frozen fresh chopped pineapple
  • 3/4 – 1 cup coconut milk
  • 2 teaspoons coconut oil

“This tropical combination will take you straight to a white sand beach with the sun shining and blue waves crashing in front of you, whether you’re in your office, at home or having breakfast in your car on the go.

“The coconut milk adds an almost savory creaminess that keeps this smoothie from heading into sweetness overload. If you go with fresh strawberries and want a thicker consistency, throw some ice in there to taste.

“What’s more, as no dairy is necessary, this is a lactose-intolerant friendly smoothie. Perfect for mornings or a light snack. The added coconut oil makes the texture luscious and offers many health benefits.

“For a Saturday night twist, pour a couple of shots of rum into the blender, kick off your shoes, and enjoy.”

“I’ve been making smoothies for more than 10 years now. Of course, first I got a low-budget blender, but later realized I wanted something more powerful, and now I enjoy a professional blender and all the smoothie goodness it’s able to blend! From fruit and veggies to seeds and nuts. I’ve even worked on developing my own recipes for protein bars and crackers that accompany smoothies well, so they create a complete and highly nutritive meal together.

“Here’s my favorite pineapple-based smoothie recipe:

  • 1 pineapple
  • 1 banana
  • Handful of raspberries
  • Handful of blueberries
  • Water (1/2 up to 1 cup)

“Peel the pineapple and banana, slice them in cubes and put in the blender.
Add raspberries and blueberries. Berries can be frozen or fresh and based on them you might want to add water. Blend on the highest speed so a banana can give the smoothie foamy texture and raspberries are perfectly blended. If kept in a fridge, make sure you put it in an air-tight container.”

  • 1/2 cup organic yogurt (vanilla)
  • Handful pineapple (fresh or frozen)

“I am an avid smoothie lover and have tried hundreds of different recipes before. Smoothies are one of my favorite types of food due to their nutritional value, taste and ease of creation. One of the BEST pineapple flavored smoothies I have ever tried is ‘Babe Ruth Strawberry Pineapple Banana Smoothie’, from modernhoney.com. There are a number of other yummy smoothies on their website however, this one smoothie is hands down delicious.

“Here is the recipe:

“Babe Ruth Strawberry Pineapple Banana Smoothie:

  • 1 cup Strawberries
  • 1/2 cup Pineapple
  • 1 Banana
  • 2 cups Orange Juice
  • 1/2 cup Greek Yogurt
  • 1 cup Spinach optional
  • 1 Tablespoon Chia or Flaxseeds optional
  • Ice

“Now, I actually hold back on the orange juice and (down to 1 cup) and increase the spinach (plus .5 cups) and the Greek yogurt (plus .5 cups) because it increases the consistency of the smoothie and gives it a smoother feel on the pallet. It also replaces some of the sweetness with a more grounded earthy flavor. These types of recipes are great for kids in the morning and I’ve found myself replacing coffee with this smoothie because of the amount of energy it packs.”

  • 1 cup pineapple
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1 banana
  • 2 cups orange juice
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 handful blueberries (optional)”

“Pineapple Raspberry Smoothie Recipe:

  • 5 chunks of fresh pineapple

  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 1 cup of filtered water or coconut water
  • 5 ice cubes
  • 2 Tablespoons Great Lakes Collagen protein (omit if vegan and use your favorite plant based protein)
